The new students of the university will be solemnly welcomed on October 6, 2022 during the "Welcome Day of the University of Magdeburg". Student initiatives will present themselves at a "Market of Opportunities" starting at 11 am. At 1 p.m., the university's rector, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Strackeljan, will be available as a contact person for interested guests during a fishbowl discussion on the question "How do we want to use the campus together?". Afterwards, the matriculation ceremony will begin on Mensavorplatz, followed by an open-air concert.

From October 4 to 7, 2022, the orientation days or the introductory week with important information on the start of studies will take place for first-year students at both universities. They will gain insights into the study process in preliminary courses, get to know the campus and city, and can make contact with fellow students. Lecturers and students from the Bachelor's and Master's programs will answer all your questions about studying.
